Game days used to feel like a full-on chore—carrying folding chairs, snacks, blankets, and a kid, all while weaving through parking lot traffic and hiking a quarter mile to the field. By the time we arrived, I was already worn out. And more than once, we ended up at the wrong field anyway.
One day we had an idea. After sketching out a concept on paper, I eagerly showed it to my wife. She looked at me and said, “I don’t want to have to take everything out of the wagon just to sit down.” That stuck with us. We knew there had to be a better way. So we went back to the drawing board and came up with something truly innovative—something built by parents, for parents.
That’s where the Lawn Chariot™ began. It’s not just a wagon. It’s a mobile relaxation suite that carries your gear, unfolds into real adult-height seats, and hides storage underneath so you don’t have to unload just to sit down. Every detail came from our own sideline frustrations and the dream of making family outings easier.
Sit Tall, Stay Comfortable
After years of crouching in low camp chairs, I wanted something that actually felt good. So we measured the chairs we loved at home and built our design around them. The result: 18.5-inch seat height, padded armrests, and articulating backrests that move with you instead of fighting you.
This wasn’t about making “a wagon with a bench.” It was about creating seats you’d genuinely enjoy—and then figuring out how to engineer the hauler around them.
Storage You Can Use Without Getting Up
My wife’s early feedback shaped one of my favorite features: hidden storage under the seats. About 3 cubic feet of space for jackets, drinks, or snacks—and you can still use it while sitting down. It’s like Mary Poppins’ bag, minus the singing.
Strong Hauler, Smooth Ride
We also needed something that could pull its weight—literally. The steel frame and strap-based support system hold up to 330 lbs of hauling capacity. Wide 3" × 7.5" all-terrain wheels keep it stable across grass, gravel, and parking lots. And here’s the kicker: you can roll it while the seats and canopy are still set up.
Shade That Moves With You
As soccer parents, one of our biggest frustrations was always chasing shade. With competitive soccer, we often arrive 40 minutes early and can’t claim the sideline until the previous game clears out. The QuickCover Canopy™ makes that wait comfortable: we haul everything over, set up our seats and shade, and when it’s time we simply wheel the Lawn Chariot—canopy already up—into place. No ground stakes, no hassle. And since team sidelines are assigned, sometimes we’re staring straight into the sun. That’s when the shade angle adjuster really shines: we pull down the top visor to block the glare while still keeping a clear view of the game. We’re parents ourselves, so every design choice came from lived sideline struggles. We tested weight limits, folded and unfolded prototypes hundreds of times, and made sure the whole thing fit in small cars—because we’ve fought that battle in the parking lot too.
